The fan fare is definitely not as big as last year, but this week's game against Oklahoma is still the biggest on the schedule. Just a month or so ago, Mr. Irrelevant himself asked me the following question on Sports Bloggers Live: "Would you rather lose to Ohio State or your hated rival Oklahoma?" Even though the Ohio State game was huge, it was an easy answer for me. I never want to lose to Oklahoma, no matter what. Nothing else during the season really matters unless you beat OU. And that is how big this rivalry has become.

So it is time to get ready for October 7, 2006, where Texas will continue where they left off last year and take it to OU. And don't worry, there will be plenty more coming this week in preparation for the game, including matchup previews and keys to the game. Stay tuned.
